Cookie Policy

- ✓We use a handful of essential cookies to make the site work: your session, your language and your cookie decision.
- ✓We only use analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) if you accept them in the cookie banner.
- ✓You can change your mind at any time: delete the qw_cookie_consent cookie and the banner will appear again so you can choose anew.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They are used to remember information between visits: for example, that you are signed in, your preferred language or the choices you made.
Some cookies are created by us (first-party cookies) and others are created by third-party services we use on the site, such as analytics or advertising tools (third-party cookies).
2. How do we use cookies?
At Qwantour we use cookies for two things: first, to make the site work properly (keeping your session, remembering your language and storing your cookie decision); and second, only if you give us your consent, to understand how the site is used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.
Separately from cookies, we keep our own statistics that use none: nothing is stored on or read from your device, you are not identified and you are not tracked across visits. That is why it does not appear in the tables below and does not depend on the cookie banner. It counts page views, approximate country and device type; the detail is explained in our Privacy Notice.
Essential cookies cannot be disabled from the site because without them we could not provide the service. The rest are never set without your permission.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the site to work and do not require your consent:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| sb-* (Supabase) | Keeps you securely signed in while you use the site. | Up to 1 year; renewed with use. |
| qw_cookie_consent | Stores your decision about optional cookies so we don't ask again on every visit. | 12 months |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language you prefer to browse the site in (Spanish, English or French). | 12 months |
4. Cookies that require your consent
These cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline them, the site works exactly the same:
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors to generate anonymous statistics about how the site is used. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics: keeps the measurement session state to group the pages of a single visit. | 2 years |
| _fbp | Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): measures the effectiveness of our advertising on Meta's platforms. | 3 months |
5. How to manage your preferences
When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. Your decision is stored in the qw_cookie_consent cookie.
If you want to change your decision, delete the qw_cookie_consent cookie from your browser settings (or clear this site's cookies): the banner will appear again on your next visit so you can choose anew.
You can also block or delete cookies directly from your browser. Here are the official guides: Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647), Firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/kb/enhanced-tracking-protection-firefox-desktop), Safari (https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471/mac) and Edge (https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-63947406-40ac-c3b8-57b9-2a946a29ae09). Keep in mind that if you block strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the site may stop working.
6. How long are they kept?
Each cookie has the duration shown in the tables above; when it expires, your browser deletes it automatically. You can delete cookies earlier at any time from your browser settings.
The statistical data generated by analytics cookies is kept in aggregated form for a maximum of 26 months and does not allow us to identify you personally.
7. Relationship with the Privacy Notice
This policy complements our Privacy Notice, where we explain who is responsible for your data, the purposes we process it for, who we share it with and how to exercise your ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation and opposition).
To the extent that a cookie collects personal data, that processing is governed by the Privacy Notice published on this same website.
